Catching the Spirit

I have really wanted to go to church. When I was out in California this past May I felt so inspired by the service and the words still echo in my mind. The sermon cleared up something that was very negative brewing within me and I just want to find a church that has a similar feel that can help me carry more positivity over into my life. I am just looking to have something that can carry me through and I have found that faith can fill you with so much confidence and help you to look to the future. I just want to have something there for myself. Also I love the feeling that you get when you go to a place where there are so many people exuding belief or faith. You can feel this amazing vibe in the air like you can feel all of these people connecting and forming bonds without ever speaking to one another. All of a sudden these people are a community and they are connected to one another and draw strength from one another.

Also I keep thinking about how cool it would be to sing again. Music always makes me "feel the spirit" and is used in every religon possible. Music just has something that can ooze through the barriers we put up and bust them down from the inside. Its fantastic and to feel that way with a whole bunch of people together...amazing. At Cindy & Dave's chruch most of the service was music. The church asked you to get up and sing everyone together not just passivly listen. I like that because church doesn't have to be jsut a passive catharisis but can be a very active one. You participate and then you feel great after. I want to belong to a church like that oh and here was the best part it welcomed everyone. It was non discript. I like that because we should all come together no matter how you look at it we are all looking to the same person no matter what the religious belief. If someone is praying no matter what the name its the same spirit.
